With VR being the new gold rush, many are searching for ways to learn about this new medium. There are few courses out there and even fewer that are worth anything. I have found one that is top notch. The course will educate everyone from amateurs to professional who want to learn more about the newest visual tech. Linda Law has fashioned an online course that teaches what you need to know about a variety of advanced visual tech. The course content is in depth and spectacular. 360 VR, Augmented Reality, Light Field Technology, LIDAR, Holograms, Peper’s Ghost, 3D Projection Mapping, Stereo 3D, Stereo Lenticular Imaging, and Autostereoscopic. I participated in the pilot program and I am impressed with the scope and intensity that Linda brings to the course. She keeps herself available to students and promptly replies to questions. If you truly want to learn and get yourself ready for these breakthroughs in the science of visuals, then I wholeheartedly recommend, “Tools for Creating in the 4th Dimension”. Sign up now, the next class begins July 23rd, 2016.
As a visual artist creating video and sculptural installations, I found this course both fascinating and extremely informative. Linda’s keen understanding of both the 4D art movement and the holographic technological evolution is unmatched. As an educator, she has the unique ability to simplify the complex concepts she presents to her students. Not only does Linda breakdown this fund of information into manageable bites, she provides vivid examples of real world applications which illustrate the intersections of art and technology. This course grants students direct access to Linda's vast research and knowledge base on creating in the fourth dimension. Of particular importance is Linda's emphasis on the infancy of this field and her continual support and encouragement towards her students to forge new pathways in developing these exciting technologies. Her easy-going nature and endless positivity inspire students to explore topics they might otherwise deem too difficult to break into. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in learning more about the ever-deepening links between science and art and how advanced visual technology is changing the way we experience the world.

I highly recommend the coursework from Linda Law. I benefited greatly from her 'Tools for Creating in 4th Dimension' class, which covered an introduction to Holograms, Pepper's Ghost, Stereo 3D, and 360 Cameras/AR/VR, and much more. The course materials were thoughtfully prepared by Linda and included superb graphics and videos (which helped me understand some fairly dense concepts in the course). On top of that, Linda made herself available during three live Zoom video conferencing sessions, where her passion and experience on the subject was truly inspiring."
I can’t recommend highly enough the course Tools for Creating in the 4th Dimension, taught by Linda Law. Linda is able to break down and articulate in an understandable way the most complex and advanced technological ideas and innovations. She is aware of the next evolution of the holographic process and intelligently explains processes and capabilities of each new direction in this field. Linda also presents new breakthroughs in areas of virtual reality, 360 photography, cameras, etc. in a thorough and easy to follow curriculum. Taking a class from Linda immediately puts you in the forefront of what is happening in the Art and Science area of breakthrough technologies. Linda presents these new innovations in a way that is comprehensive, fun and intelligent. From there she encourages all of us to make our own breakthroughs and follow through with whatever catches our interest. A must for artists, computer and video artists and anyone interested in what is presently coming down the technological pike!

Linda's course takes a scientific concept that we all have heard of at one point in time or another - holograms - and demystifies what they actually are and how they are created. She's able to simplify down many very complex concepts into their base component parts, bringing her students in to various aspects of the art and science behind it, referencing decades of history and opening our eyes. She then takes us into the future of computing with augmented and virtual reality, and as someone who's looked at this technology for the past two years, I thought I knew a lot but Linda has done an amazing job of taking us by the hand and showing us new ways to see.

Linda Law's class has been one of the best classes that I have taken. Reason is that it evolves our future. I learned so much about pepper's ghost and augmented reality, I would highly suggest anyone wanting beginners level knowledge to take her course. She breaks everything down so beautifully where she makes a somewhat challenging subject, at least for me, to an easy and understandable content. Linda Law is a one of a kind teaching talent and I would take her class again if the opportunity presents itself.

Linda Law's dynamic workshop Tools for Creating in the 4th Dimension gives an in-depth overview of the evolution of image producing technology.
As a nascent game designer who comes to the emerging field from the perspective of storytelling and youth development, I find this workshop particularly useful in learning where, what and who the growing edges of the industry (and the art) are. A great research tool!
